Gillean Torstveit was awarded two ribbons at State Art. One was from Wyoming's First Lady which means his work will be displayed in the Governor's Mansion for the next year in Cheyenne.
Upton High School prides itself on having top notch activities regardless of its small size. At UHS, students have the ability to participate in FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, robotics, State Art, music competitions, We the People, National Honor Society, as well as a whole host of other opportunities.
Students have proven to excell in the small setting with personal attention from sponsors and instructors. In 2023, 19 UHS students qualified for the national FBLA competition located in Atlanta, GA. Likewise, the FFA program recieved the Gold Chapter award while FCCLA's Kelly Cork was elected Wyoming's state office president.
Through activities like these students to develop important skills in leadership, service, and personal growth. Likewise, they are stretched and challenged while receiving direction, support and guidance as they prepare for the future.
