The Upton Schools recognized Thunder Basin Coal Company and Ritthaler Cattle Company for their donations to the school lunch program at halftime of the October 16th football game. Danae Kraft representing Thunder Basin Coal and Reuben and Shelly Ritthaler representing Ritthaler Cattle Company were presented plaques from Weston #7 Board Chairman Curtis Rankin and Superintendent Clark Coberly. Cretaceous Land also donated meat and will be recognized during the basketball season.
Due to the generosity of the donations from livestock sold during the Weston County Fair, the Upton Schools do not have to purchase meat during the school year. Thank you to these donors for providing Weston County grown meat to our school!
